This was done in 2019 with fpdcc/trailsyserver@03187ac

However, I noticed that there is some clean up that needs to happen with older alerts in production that were created before this change.

@gisdevcc I think I'm not understanding what "older alerts in production that were created before this change" means. We can discuss next call? This one isn't urgent.
