Configuration File Merge Question (v0.6.7 to v0.6.8)

Hi Framps,

During the upgrade to v0.6.8, I noticed the following when the configuration files were merged...

--- RBK0249I: Deleted option DEFAULT_USE_UUID=1.
--- RBK0249I: Deleted option DEFAULT_RSYNC_BACKUP_OPTIONS="--delete -aHx".

I'm not sure about the UUID setting but I recall having to add the the RSYNC line manually to my config at some point. Do you know why this was removed during the upgrade? Not sure if I should add it back or not.

DEFAULT_USE_UUID is obsolete for a long time already and I removed it from the config in 0.6.8.
DEFAULT_RSYNC_BACKUP_OPTIONS can be changed in the config but you have to know what you are doing.

Default is DEFAULT_RSYNC_BACKUP_OPTIONS="-aHAx --delete"

You removed A and rsync doesn't backup extended attributes. If you removed Amanually it's most probably because you backup your system via nfs and got RC23 during backup from rsync because you have some extended attributes on your system you actually don't need.

That's why you can choose whether you want to update your config file by raspiBackup during upgrade or do it manually to keep any important local changes.

I suggest to remove A only if it's required. I suggest to comment out your default rsync backup options (just place a # in front of the line) and start a manual backup. If it fails with RC23 then you have to keep this definition. Otherwise just delete it or keep it commented out in your config file.
