Normal mode works fine, exploit mode is not supported.
In this comment I have a 7885 split script that works for me.

tried it didnt work , as in exynos usb u need to hold on to power button for the device to work for couple seconds , shows as exynos 7885 in device manager , compiled and too k the spliting script applied it to sboot.bin , compiled using make in wsl and ofc i attached the usb device with usbipd , would love to hear feedback from yall

What device are you using it on? On my Galaxy A8 (2018) I don't have to hold the power button. If I corrupt the bootloader, it automatically goes into usbdl and I can send the bootloader parts for it to boot into download mode.
Though last time I tried doing it through wsl I got a bsod, so I recommend actually using linux. The phone keeps restarting until you send the first part.

Actualy using it on a A8 (2018) , to explain more about the situation , my phone was rooted , but after leaving it for a long time the battery depleted and remain so , until i went and picked it up again , connect it to the computer and only holding on to the power button is it recongnised as exynos 7885 , after digging arounf found 2 approaches using this repo or the multidownloader tool , so far my biggest hurdle is finding the appropriate sboot for the right version of my bootloader as i dont know which one i had , continnuing on your point never actually used it a bare metal linux , i will try that
thanks for reaching back

I haven't tested this as I don't want to update the bootloader on either of my A8s, but I think you should be able to use the latest bl.
