The Octal output features inspired FreeDSP OCTAVIA to its name. This uses Analog Devices ADAU1452 or ADAU1466 DSP for Standalone Audio processing. An USBi-compatible programmer or TCPi via Raspberry-Pi's I2C port path is provided for DSP/EEPROM programming. The Raspberry-Pi is just an option, so if you do not need it, you can leave it and program the DSP/EEPROM via the USBi Connector.
The output can configure the following types...
- 8ch Balanced output for XLR-Connector
- 8ch RCA-pin Differential Output
- 8ch Unbalanced RCA-pin output
Various source capabilities are as follows...
- RCA-pin Analog Input (Unbalanced)
- Optical(TOSLINK) S/PDIF Digital Audio Input
- Coaxial S/PDIF Digital Audio Input
- Amanero Combo384 or compatible USB-I2S Input Slot
- Raspberry-Pi 40pin I2S Audio and I2C Interface
- Extra I2S Input header for the future extension
