Using freelan server

Since its version 1.1, freelan can now connect to a central web-server which eases automatic configuration and discovery of other freelan peers. The web-server is not necessarily part of the network (but can be) and can be shut-down safely without impairing an existing and established network.

This page explains how to configure a freelan client to take advantage of the "freelan server" feature.

The freelan-server, as in 1.1 will be discontinued and embedded in the binary in freelan's next release (starting with 2.0).
