When I visit this web page again:
https://selector.berlin.freifunk.net/?version=21.02.3&target=ath79%2Fgeneric&id=tplink_tl-wdr4300-v1
(reached the page by searching for tl-wdr4300)

then, the search box does nothing.

The problem here is that the version (21.02.3) in that link is not available. In that case no version is selected which is the expected behavior.

You can remove the version from the link and then the default version is used:
https://selector.berlin.freifunk.net/?target=ath79%2Fgeneric&id=tplink_tl-wdr4300-v1
