Option to partially close registration

From an organisers point of view, it would be nice to be able to close only parts of the registration, i.e. prevent new competitors from registering but still leave guest registration open.

Especially with larger competitions, there has been a growing trend in guests registering "last minute". However, this is currently not possible because most organisers choose to close the registration several days before the competition in order to create grouping lists and the like.
For the German Nationals alone, we had more than 5 persons asking if they could still register as guest only ~24h after closing the registration website.
