I have a 8bitdo Pro2 Wired Controller. This is my first 8bitdo and also the last. Every firmware update comes with bugs. After I updated to 1.70v my left trigger stopped vibrating. There's no support on their website and nothing about it in manual, how to reset to factory etc...
Can anyone help me with that please?

Does fwupd even support the wired controller? I've not tested it certainly.

Just for the sake of completeness. The 8BitDo Pro 2 gamepad is as of September 2023 still not supported by fwupd.

The underlying problem seems the be a change in 8BitDo's firmware communication protocol reported in #1681.

Whatever, I can confirm that this model had some strange issues especially when the X-Input mode was used. In my case most of them were resolved with firmware v3.02. So for that gamepad model it is quite crucial to be able to update the firmware. In the end I had to do this under Windows.
