Hi! Get an error during configuration flow (Version 0.7 of Ecowitt WS integration)
Could not be loaded. Error message: 'invalid handler spevified'.
Please help!

Same issue here... But the last code edit is from 3 years ago, hopefully they will fix it.

This worked for me and others after changing the two lines.

I managed to solve this bug by installing the previous version of the integration i.e. 0.6, the update notification will remain but at least that's how it works

It looks like @garbled1 is not actively maintaining this anymore. Maybe someone should fork it, accept (at least the latest) pull requests, and add that one to HACS instead.

There is an"official" HA integration that works just fine, you could try that. It was last updated a month ago.

It's possibly why this one isn't being maintained any more.

I've just bought an Ecowitt Whitby because it's supposed to be local and came across the problem.

I've just downloaded the app and it won't do anything unless I register for an online account. Is there no way to get the data locally without an online account?


Edit: Ignore my above you can also do this via the local webpage for your Wittboy (no app needed) - sorted!

What hub are you using with Wittboy ?
If it's a GW2000 then it doesn't need an account. But I use this integration.
