I am very impressed with how well this is handling the massive number of stars we now have due to the recent patch. But I've noticed a problem. When categories are deselected on the HUD, the stars are not completely removed. A white glow is left behind. (This white glow is actually there all the time, makes it hard to see the colors sometimes.)

As now there is more than 1,000,000 stars on edsm, it has really bad effect on performances on far view,
I've started to work a way to make clusters for the distant view (group stars by distance to show less stars on far view) but it take time to add that I was busy on other things since the engineer release.
I add to my roadmap to add a way to disable stars instead of having a white glow when they are not selected, it could help too on performance for map with a large amount of stars
