There have been misunderstandings about the Mapping Navigator in the past (e.g. #496) which have not really been resolved.

What is the Mapping Navigator? The Mapping Navigator shows existing mappings and mapping recommendations that are related to the currently selected concepts (source/target). For example, if you have DDC 612.112 selected on the source side, it will show all mappings that include DDC 612.112, as well as mapping recommendations from DDC 612.112 to the selected target system.

The name "Navigator" was one of the early suggestions and we simply haven't found a better name yet. I'm not sure if there is a better name, but if there is, we should change it.

We could also add some kind of visual representation of what the Mapping Navigator does, e.g. in form of an icon. It should somehow make clearer that these are mappings/suggestions related to the selected concepts.

Make Connections/Verbindungen or Links? The component shows connections between selected concepts and other concepts, right?

I'm not convinced, but I guess it comes closer than "Navigator". It still doesn't indicate at all that these connections are about the selected concepts though, but maybe we just need a good icon for that.
