Yoroi is one of the official light wallets for Cardano developed by Emurgo , original based on Project Icarus developed by IOG (formerly known as IOHK). The wallet is available officially as a chromium extension (thus, usable in Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Yandex) or as mobile apps on Android and iOS.
In order to install Yoroi, always go to the official Yoroi website only, viz https://yoroi-wallet.com, do not click on links received by others - especially ones received in private messages or non-official groups. Once there, you can select the version you'd like to install.
Note that the screenshots may vary slightly depending on the extension you elect. You can also follow same step to deploy Yoroi as extension in Yandex browser on android. Let's consider you clicked on Chrome mainnet, you will be redirected to Google Chrome Web store. Click Add to Chrome as per below:
You may receive a prompt to confirm to Add Yoroi depending on your browser, please confirm to do so:
Once installed, you would see an icon added to extensions area (with potentially a message saying its been added):
Click on that icon to open Yoroi extension, select the Language:
Read through the terms of use, and tick I agree with the terms of use followed with Continue:
Yoroi offers an option to easily share invoices with friends and business, using a feature called payment URLs which allow you to share a short URL ith memos. Select Allow to enable and follow prompts to Finish:
This should land you to the home page of wallet, from where you should be ready to continue.
Yoroi is a chrome extension, and chrome extensions are automatically updated. Thus, no - you do not need to auto upgrade Yoroi.
To uninstall Yoroi from extensions, simply right click on the extension and select Remove from Chrome.
