img_size parameter in Darknet initializer in train.py #68

Hello, i wanted to ask about the parameter named "img_size" in the train.py line 37.

model = Darknet(opt.model_def, img_size=opt.img_size).to(device)

what is this parameter about? png files in the image_2 folder or bin files in the velodyne folder?
