RPM find shows that glusterfs 5.1 is released: https://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=glusterfs
But the docker images at https://hub.docker.com/u/gluster/ are still not up to date.
With gluster/gluster-centos:latest I observed memory leak. Also elasticsearch has corrupted index exception when glusterfs is used as storage.
The release notes of glusterfs 5.0 says it fixed a few memory leaks. Are you planning to publish a newer image?

Did you try https://github.com/gluster/gcs/ . That has glusterfs5+ GD2 combined images. It is still alpha state, but good to hear the feedback about it.

Do you have any news on this? We can not switch to another version/distribution because the docker image is a dependency of the openshift-ansible setup:
https://github.com/openshift/openshift-ansible/blob/master/roles/openshift_storage_glusterfs/defaults/main.yml

Which is using: "docker.io/gluster/gluster-centos:latest"

We need to upgrade to GlusterFS 5+ because we are affected by this bug:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1390050

A new image version would be greatly appreciated.

Gluster v5 is now out for Long Term Support, with Gluster v6 in Development. I would greatly appreciate the Docker client to be up and running.
