More resilient when connecting to load-balanced nodes #1651

When connected to a node load-balancer, it can be the case that the nodes have slightly different views of the block chain (becuase of network propagation delays for example).

This was already addressed in GPv2 and should be ported to GPv1 as well:
gnosis/gp-v2-services#403
