During Boot-Up, a GoboLinux image is displayed. This is ok in general but I noticed
that on my laptop, this image is quite in the middle; and the boot-messages are on
the bottom but a bit difficult to read; and only like ~10 enties or so shown there.
I have two suggestions, the first one simpler, the second one a bit more work or so
I think:
(1) Could the image be moved a bit towards the upper side by default? 1-2 cm
should be fine. At the same time, could perhaps a few more entries be shown
during boot-up stage? The image is cool but the boot messages are IMO more
important to see, at the least to me.
I also had some "Failed" entries but I am not sure where to find them. It is probably
logged already but not trivial to find out where it is logged into. (This is only
useful for failed tasks, I don't mind tasks that succeeded.)
(2) Perhaps there could be a simple way to modify the boot-up stage. For example,
I am thinking of people being able to customize the boot-up stuff more easily,
such as via settings like "show_image: true/false" and also being able to set
how many entries are shown. The default can be kept as-is, I am only wondering
how trivial it could be made to change these. Admittedly this here has a very low
priority compared to "real", other problems. :)
Edit: Oops, seems the banner is not an image but text, so please disregard my
above comment about "the image".
