Tested versions

v4.4.beta1.official [d33da79]

System information

Godot v4.4.beta1 - Windows 11 (build 22631) - Single-window, 2 monitors - Vulkan (Forward+) - dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER (NVIDIA; 32.0.15.6590) - AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core Processor (16 threads)

Issue description

When running the game as embedded in the editor. If I were to open the project settings and the settings popup window were to be completely covered by the embedded game. Then I would be unable to interact with the rest of the editor, especially the stop button. This also prevents closing the editor via the close button. This would require me to go and close either window manually via the Task Manager.

Recording.2025-01-30.225358.mp4

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch the game embedded.
  2. Click project settings.
  3. Attempt to stop the game with the stop button.

Minimal reproduction project (MRP)
