Video does not play smoothly if content is DRM protected

When trying to play a video that is DRM protected (like most foreign TV shows on RTS), it does not play smoothly; instead it looks like a slide show. The sound of the video works find though.

This needs further investigation. It is not certain that anything can be done about this on the plugin or if it is a problem with Kodi / Widevine.

I think I have the same error, by default it's slideshow like you describe.
But If I go in the video settings, I see that the video is set on ultra low quality by default, If I switch to Full HD, the video
plays smoothly.
If the video has only one video stream in Full hd, no problem, the video runs normally
Perhaps we can switch the default on the maximum quality available.

My setup runs on Raspeberry pi with Libreelec.
