As @dfrg describes, this might require forking freetype-rs and freetype-sys and change those to building a ToT FreeType locally.

We should be able to just fork freetype-sys (or vendor it in the faunlet directory).

This is currently blocked on resolution of https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/freetype/freetype/-/issues/1264
