googlefonts/science-gothic#59 notes that the GF Expert set has a bunch of .smcp glyphs that are apparently without parents. I guess we should add them to the Pro definition.

@kalapi and @alexeiva what do you think?

Or drop the lonely orphan small caps from GF Expert. ;)

Pinyin relates to one of the 34 orphan small caps in the list, I think?

There are 8 Pinyin double-diacritics, which all have Ü/ü + something—with macron, acute, hacek/caron and grave as the “somethings.” The [edit: small cap] list is single-case, so we would expect four entries.

But, only one is there. The other three Pinyin are not in the rest of my glyph list either.

It's always possible that my sources were defective. Alexei, I will appreciate your feedback. You have access to our glyph spreadsheet now. (Actually, I probably ought to make it public, at least for viewing.)

these 'orphan' glyphs should be in Pro.

@tphinney please make a PR to update this repo to name all the existing sets as from 2016 and then make new sets named for 2020 that are larger and include the orphan glyphs "up-stream" in Pro, and please propose all other changes.

When you've done that please ask @pichotta to take a look :)

EDIT: I had a comment here that ignored the existence of the "GF Glyph Sets" subdirectory. Noted now. Its contents (including the readme) appears to answer my major outstanding questions.
