Graphic design exploration for AD banners sized 2048x1024 (max for all sizes)

Graphic design exploration for AD banners sized 2048x1024 (max for all sizes)
- Finished first batch of banner proposals; - Overall presentation;
@tphinney just pushed a preview of two variants of banners sized 2048x1024 that is the maximum size given by Google for their About page. The designs are modular so that they could be easily re-arranged to fit the other sizes. Variant A) is based on comic book and film noir exploration, where B) is inspired by our previous micro web site design. Moved from https://github.com/googlefonts/google-symbols/issues/1020
This was what I originally wrote for a potential external posting, but we could also do it internally. Here is the info needed; I will tweak and expand this as needed.
(NOT quite finished yet!)
Science Gothic typeface promo images
You will design images that show off the new Science Gothic typeface, for use (1) on the about page on Google Fonts, and (2) in social media promo posts to be made by Google Fonts (and probably me as well).
This open-source four-axis variable font is essentially a riff on M.F. Benton’s Bank Gothic, massively expanding on the original with weight, width, contrast and slant axes, and extensive language support (extended Latin, extended Cyrillic).
You can download the variable font from the repo here: XXXXXXXXX
Guidelines on the format and desired number of images given here: https://googlefonts.github.io/gf-guide/promotion.html ... for the About page, it is somewhat open-ended; perusing some of the existing about pages that have images can give some ideas on that, but probably at least 6 images. The full details are at the link above, but in short:
Twitter: 4 images, @ square or 16:9
Mastodon: 4 images, @ square or 16:9
Instagram: 10 images @ 4:5
LinkedIn: 10–20 images @ 1.91:1
Threads: 10 images @ 3:4
I have some thoughts about the content and feel, thinking it could include (but not necessarily be limited to): superheroic, action/adventure, noir/gumshoe/detective, pulp heroics (e.g. The Shadow, Doc Savage, Tarzan, John Carter) and science fiction.
To apply for this gig, drop me an email, or use the contact form here: https://thefontdetective.com/?page_id=11987
Quotes and themes
The noir/gumshoe/detective quotes should be moderate to high on the contrast axis, normal width to highly condensed, but any weight and any slope. These are indicated with an asterisk.
Other quotes could be of any style in the range of the font.
