Gramps flatpak 5.2.0-0
Make sure your database is SQLite instead of BSDDB3. The Gramps 5.2 flatpak is dropping BSDDB3 support due to age of the license-free version of BSDDB3 as well as the extra size of the download when BSDDB3 is included in the Gramps flatpak.Back up your database with pictures included. Gramps 5.2 flatpak is switching to xdg-access of Documents, Downloads, and Pictures instead of full home directory access. Restoring a gpkg with media included will make it easier to link your media files with the 5.2 flatpak.
CHANGES FOR THIS FLATPAK
update Gramps source to 5.2.0 and update sha256
remove flatpak's home directory access in favor of xdg access for Docs, Downloads, and Pictures
remove old BSDDB3
remove atomic.patch since it was for BSDDB3
update Gnome runtime to 45 and python to 3.11
update exiv2 to 0.28.1
update gexiv2 to 0.14.2
update ghostscript to 10.02.1
update graphviz to 10.0.1
remove pygraphviz from manifest, since pygraphviz 1.12 requires an install incompatible with flatpaks. The Graph View addon seems to work fine without pygraphviz, so pygraphviz will be left out.
INSTALLATION
install flatpak from your distribution
follow the instructions for your distribution at https://flathub.org/setup for adding the flathub repository. The runtimes required for Gramps get downloaded from this repository.
open a terminal in the directory you placed the gramps.flatpak into, and as a user (NOT root or sudo) run the command below
flatpak install gramps.flatpak
UNINSTALL
flatpak uninstall org.gramps_project.Gramps
flatpak uninstall --unused
(The second command will remove any runtimes not being used by other flatpaks)
Please download the gramps.flatpak file, and ignore the source files. The source files will show you the scripts used to compile the flatpak, but they are not installable like that.

Gramps flatpak 5.1.6-1
This is the flatpak for Gramps 5.1.6, which includes an old BSDDB3 release that doesn't require a manual acceptance of a user agreement. This archive is put up so that if someone needs to work on an older database or requires BSDDB3, then they can use this version to update old formats or to convert a BSDDB3 database to SQLite.
WARNINGS
1. localizations outside English might not work on this file, unlike the version at flathub. Until I find the solution, please use the flathub version if you need to use another locale. (This archive should use the user's system locale now as of 26Feb2024)
2. This uses Gnome Runtime 44 from flathub. At some point in the future, flathub will probably remove Gnome 44 from availability for user download. At that point, this flatpak will possibly no longer be installable.
