Time to delete this repo #11
Comments
Turns out some folks here still use the ROS wrapper and we'd like to postpone a move for another couple of weeks. Can we leave this in place a touch more? (We can mark as obsolete in landing page README) |
Done. When you guys are done with this repo, go ahead and delete it. We don't need it anymore. If you think it will be around for awhile, can we transfer the repos ownership somewhere else? Either to your own github account or to whoever is using it. |
@mateiciocarlie this graspit-ros repo is confusing people. See the issue here: If your lab is done with it, can we delete the graspit-ros repo or move it? |
What if we mark it as deprecated, same way as graspit-ros is?

Sorry, my above comment was poorly worded. There was an issue on the graspit_interface page, where someone tried to follow the documentation to setup graspit with ros following the docs: The docs are out of date and still reference graspit-ros rather than graspit_interface. I would like to do two things.

I think we should delete this graspit-ros repo. For the last several weeks, our lab has been running ros plugins where graspit was installed system wide via the instructions in the readme here:
https://github.com/graspit-simulator/graspit_interface
and everything has been working great.
As far as I know, this repo is no longer required by anyone and is simply confusing to leave around any longer. Does anyone see any reason not to delete it?
