Expected behavior:

tsh config would relogin as other tsh commands do. Otherwise provide a more informative error message.

Current behavior:

After a session has expired a user gets this generic error. The user is not advised to relogin or automatically logs in as tsh ls does.

tsh config
ERROR: ssh: cert has expired

Bug details:

  • Teleport version: 17.1.6
  • Recreation steps
  1. tsh login and let the profile expire. Use the --ttl to give a shorter session
  2. Run tsh config
