Pip Installation Error -- can't find xsFortran.h

Description

In doing pip install ronswanson the installation failed. I have HEASOFT 6.31 and the error actually occurs in the building of astromodels and this has occurred in the past see threeML/astromodels#136

What I Did

An attached file shows the full output of pip install ronswanson

Setting XSPEC_INC_PATH=/Users/tparsota/HEASOFT/HEASOFT-6.31/Xspec/x86_64-apple-darwin21.6.0/include and then clearing the pip cache and rerunning pip install ronswanson still did not work

For reference my xsFortan lives in: /Users/tparsota/HEASOFT/HEASOFT-6.31/x86_64-apple-darwin21.6.0/include/XSFunctions/Utilities/
