Streamer Surf Use Cases

Our website's purpose and uniqueness lie in the area of discovery: discovery of games, discovery of streamers, and even of genres. With Phase II, we released many of the features that will allow that.

The Use Cases

Discovering Games in a Genre

You’ve been playing the same world-building games your whole life: Civilization, Minecraft, SimCity. Time to find some new ones in the same genre.

There are two easy ways to do this on our website:

  • Search the Games table. Simply use the search bar above the Games table to enter the genre you want. You will then be able to sort the table by the games' ratings if you'd like.
  • Search the Genres table. Simply use the search bar above the Genres table to enter the genre you want. Select your genre, and then browse the genre page's Popular Games section. You could also use the right sidebar to look into subgenres and popular developers.

Discovering Games from a Developer/Studio

You love Blizzard Entertainment, but you don’t want to go to other websites to find out what all games they’ve made.

To find new games this way, use the Games table. We recommend searching for the studio using the bar above the Games table; this way you can sort the results. You could also skip the search bar and just sort the table by studio.

Clicking on a game will take you to that game’s page, where you can see more information as well as live streaming of gameplay.

Discovering Streamers by Language

You're looking to combine the two things you love: The Sims 4 and Modern Standard Arabic. With our website, you can filter the Streamers table to find exactly the streamers you want. To do this, you would just search the table for "the sims 4" and sort the results by the Language column.
