Can't Upload images

When trying to upload an image, for a few seconds something like uploading file.... occurs and then disapears.

Just to add a little context. I also have the same issue.
But it depends on image type.
Uploading a PNG works fine. If it's a JPEG, then everything as described above.

Both Firefox and Chromium.
On a linux machine.
