Hiding channels from the channel list by name or ID/code

I wondered if you'd ever had a chance to look at #122 (comment).

• The method was to enable the hiding of arbitrary channels that a user knows will never interest them (e.g. undesirable kinks or communities not applicable to that alt).
• The primary goal was to provide a channel list that's more reflective of a user's individual tastes or interests.
  • This would also reduce the possibility of misclicking somewhere unwanted when the list refreshes and list item positions are adjusted.
• The secondary goal was to improve the discoverability of less-populated channels that may be more aligned with a user's tastes or interests.

Does this seem like it would be of interest? From the preliminary work in that comment, it doesn't seem too hard to implement, especially if you didn't want this in the GUI.
