I think it is important to avoid being too ambitious when a project is just starting. I personally want to focus on making Coffee great for building games for desktop first, which is already quite an ambitious goal.
I do not have any experience targeting mobile or the web from Rust. I didn't even know much about computer graphics a month ago! The engine is still missing many basic features and, considering my experience, trying to support additional platforms right now would add complexity to the development, prototyping, and testing process. This would make exploring and adding features more difficult, which is precisely what we do not need right now.
Once the engine has matured a bit, I think we could start researching to understand how to make this happen. Hopefully, we can implement mobile and web support without too many compromises. If this ends up not being possible, we will still have a great engine for desktop games which I think still brings a lot of value by itself!
We can keep this issue open for further discussion. If anyone has experience targeting mobile and the web using Rust, feel free to share your thoughts here!
