Hi Friends, just download Bhav Copy from NSE Website. Then Open the CSV file, use excel to sort out EQ. Rest you can delete it. Add a row for date. Save it as txt file. But the only issue is you will not get deliverable data as well as Indices data |
I converted this using Libre |
Sorry Guys. Forgive me. Just prior updated file has problem with volumes. It was my mistake. |
I think the application it is in Github, means open source. If anyone can guide to me to recruit a programmer, we can solve this problem. |
2023-03-31-NSE-EQ.txt This includes indices data as well. I have manually created these files. |
Thanks a ton Sir.. I will be highly obliged if you write down the steps how to create the files manually.. |
Hi @imcandlestick. Thanks to @niteshmurti who have manually compiled which includes Indices data aswell. |
thanks @niteshmurti for the files. while making index data file, there is an error in names provided by nse website and one used by getbhavcopy, for ex, nifty is written as nsenifty on getbhavcopy and as nifty 50 as given by nse. did you manually change names of all indices to match the previous format? |
Yes, I manually changed the names. It was a painstaking process. I have attached the excel file here to make the job easier for whoever wishes to use it. You have to place the new data in the right hand side in the place I have indicated and the VLOOKUP function will automatically arrange the data on the left-hand side. Make sure you paste the data correctly otherwise it'll mess up your charts. And change the date on the left-hand side manually everyday. You need only change one date in cell C2 and rest will update automatically. Any other doubts you can ask me here. |
Thank you @niteshmurti sir.. trying to download bhavcopy from nse site, however, indices details are not provided. can you please let me know the bhavcopy file to download from nse site which has indices details. |
Thanks a ton Sir!!! |
thank you so much for providing this excel file, really must have taken quite some time and effort for making this. thanks a lot |
You have to go to Resources > Daily Market Reports then on the left hand side you'll see Current Reports, Equities & SME, below that you'll see Indices. Click on Indices, then click on Archives, then choose a date, then download Daily Snapshot |
You're welcome. Yeah it took about two and a half hours lol.. |
Guys, Can any one help me with bhavcopy txt for date 27,28,29,30 March. thanks. |
Thanks JITHUJT |
I'm also not able to download the EOD files from the GetBHavcopy. Some error is coming due to the change in nse website. How this issue can be solved permanently. |
JITHUJT, thanks. Can you kindly inform how to make these files from bhavcopy ? |
equity + index data, made with help from @niteshmurti 's excel |
This Python program is a perfect alternative to the Getbhavcopy software. It generates the same text file as the one obtained by Getbhavcopy software. The generated file includes symbol, date, open, high, low, close and volume data arranged in columns and date format matches that of Getbhavcopy software. Additionally, all NSE index names have been changed to match the names used in Getbhavcopy's old files. This ensures compatibility with the old database of Amibroker or data import format without requiring any modifications. |
A New version released which includes Open Interest and Series Filter. You can download from the link |
I have shifted the BID discussion. You can down load the update from here. |
