hjonkbot hjonks out and stops working if spammed with requests.

Reportedly stops accepting requests for honks on a given server after being spammed.
Kicking and re-inviting reportedly don't help combat this or un-freeze the bot.

Possible courses of action:

  • A delay between accepted honk requests
  • A change of code to properly schedule all requests and prevent this from happening
  • A change in semantics to make chained honks with goos hjonk <amount> more intuitive than spamming the command

Update to reproduce:

It seems like the bug occurs when the spam gets so quick that more than one honk gets requested at once. The bot then gets stuck in the voice chat and doesn't leave. Upon being disconnected by admin manually, the bot does not respond to any more honk requests, even after being kicked and re-invited.

Here's how a sample reproduction commands channel looks after the bot bug:
