Possibly this is a new security measure in newer versions of webOS. Can't retest that - my TV is too old for webOS 5...

I have the same problem. Everything had been working fine, but I recently cleared my TV's pairings and now I can't get node-red to connect again. webOS version 05.30.60 provides a PIN number for other apps, but the lgtv-config node now just hangs on "connecting".

I use https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/webostv/ which generates a token in the hassio file system at /config/webostv.conf. Is there some way I can copy and paste that token into the lgtv-config node? Thanks.

I have the same problem like robertvorthman
My WebOS Version is 05.10.20; pairing is working with the lg app;
lgtv-config mode hangs on "connecting"
How can I help you testing?

update 10.11.2019: I changed nothing.....yesterday evening a pairing message was shown at my tv - now everything is working...

FWIW 05.10.20 is a firmware version specific to your family of TV not the actual webOS version. You're probably on webOS 3. If you have an "About this TV" manu, you'll see the 0x.xx.xx number there and the webOS version mentioned deeper under TV Information.
