I have the same problem.

I suspekt it was introduced by the firmware update 3.1.4 -> 3.1.6 of the Gw2000 in my case.

@MaikaiLife

Mine seemed to occur when I restarted HA, and I think it happened once before on 3.1.4, not certain, but there appears to be some combination of events that causes this.

Gompman commented Nov 14, 2024

Not 3.1.6 relevant. Error was before and after Update to 3.1.6 visible

Is this at all related to the deprecation warnings being received?

STATE_CLASS_MEASUREMENT was used from ecowitt, this is a deprecated constant which will be removed in HA Core 2025.1. Use SensorStateClass.MEASUREMENT instead, please report it to the author of the 'ecowitt' custom integration
STATE_CLASS_TOTAL_INCREASING was used from ecowitt, this is a deprecated constant which will be removed in HA Core 2025.1. Use SensorStateClass.TOTAL_INCREASING instead, please report it to the author of the 'ecowitt' custom integration

I noticed a similar error when updating the firmware version to 1.3.3 for GW1200... But perhaps it appeared earlier ...
In the description of the new firmware version, in particular, it says "Supported 16-channel soul sensors and WS 85/WS 90 rain state detection"...
Maybe the srain_piezo sensor was added for this purpose?
But as far as I understand, the author of the integration does not follow his integration very closely...
I have now looked at other open issues for this integration - and at least a few of them relate to the same issue... Apparently, we will have to somehow expect the author's reaction...

Well, the integration is assigned to the founder of Home Assistant....

@tonicb78, Yes, I understand that... And I didn’t want to say anything bad... It’s just that, apparently, he really has a lot of other things to do... Just a statement of fact...

Running a WS3900C with a WS90 7-in-1 and a WH46 and noticed these errors after updating HA OS to 14.1, but they could have been there prior.

I know that it´s an opensource solution, but at least all the official integrations must to be maintance in case of problem. I have another errors in another official integrations and nobody is working on them.

This is only my point of view. Actually i have around 200 errors per day in this Ecowitt integration.

@aperezva, I think there are a lot of people here who won't be able to agree with you... At a minimum, the word "must" cannot be used in any way...

@aperezva

Changed “must” to “would”.

I tried to be quite.

Same issue here

Cross posted to the following discussion: #134267

I dont think this is the exact same error, but after upgrading to 2025.1 it broke the ecowitt integration and couldn't load any entities. I cant say this is related to the changes ecowitt has been making, but I was on the latest firmware / app with them and only upgrading to 2025.1.x HA broke it, more than just the log warnings.

I was receiving log files that said it could not import the POWER const.

I unfortunately didn't save the log files and instead downgraded to my 2024.12.x backup because I rely on ecowitt temp sensors to perform various automations with HVAC.

Has anyone else upgraded and experienced issues?

RedNo7 commented Jan 9, 2025

I've upgraded (2025.1.1) and continue to see the Unhandled sensor type srain_piezo value 0 error only. All other sensors work fine.

edit: Should add I have a GW2001

Same to me. Still waiting to somebody fix it. It’s a pity , because tho integration works fine but its generation over 200 errors every day. I don’t know if these errors could affects home assistant

This seems to be a duplicate of this: #125850

There is a fix in the mentioned issue including a PR. However, we are still waiting for the necesarry reviews.
