Picking Up Issues

Contributors should only pick up one issue at a time and must assign themselves to it. Simply stating "I wanna work on this" does not assign you to the issue. Any unassigned issue is up for grabs. If you are unable to assign yourself, that means you need to follow these next steps. A bot, which James Walsh created, should actually tell you this!
If you need help figuring out what to work on, let us know in Slack.
Check out our guide on Creating Issues if you haven't already!
- If you can no longer work on an issue, please un-assign yourself.
- If someone is already assigned to an issue, do not un-assign them or submit a pull request with work related to that issue.
- If you notice the person assigned to the issue hasn't made any updates in more than two weeks, you can @ them in a comment to check in.
