Firechat for WordPress integrates the beautiful Firechat app into WordPress to enable real-time chat for users.

The plugin creates a chat room in the admin area, which is placed in the bottom right corner of all admin pages. Any users can join the chat room to talk with other users of the website.

Installation

• Unzip the download package
• Upload firechat to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
• Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress

Integrate with Firebase

• Register an account (FREE) at Firebase
• Create a new app (Firebase automatically creates a new app for you)
• Copy app URL:

• Click Manage App to go to app page
• On the left sidebar, click Secrets and copy the app secret:

Enter plugin settings

After activating the plugin, please go to Settings | Firechat and enter the app URL and app secret.

Refresh the page to see the chat app!
