if the string representing the path to which the symbolic link points can't find in the _options["root"], the link will not found.

bug1

when you create a link named "/home/hpcadmin/jupyter" from "/home/jupyter" and the _options["root"] is /home/hpcadmin. if you want __tree the "/home/hpcadmin/jupyter". you can see the error.
