Downloading transcripts from captions could be great.
Especially for YouTube, since copying them from the website has timecodes in the text and is generally a pain to use, it would also make garbage AI transcript tools with paywalls obsolete.

@elouangrimm IIRC VLC announced a feature pretty similar to what you're asking for, and to what I'm asking for too now that I think about it, something about using local LLMs to make subtitles, I'm not sure if it is actually extractable though or if it's already available for that matter.
