Checkbox UI to replace entire axes values with hori / vert value labels

With additional values on the axis, the plot may appear messy.
Or the line values may be the only values of interest.

Hence, there should be an option to replace the axis entirely:

not sure what you mean.
I did notice in the goshawk review that increasing let's say the y-axis beyond the assay range really crunches the added hlines together and they get in the way of each other but I figure the user will have to sort that out as there is plenty of flexibility in the UI.

anyway, need more info on this particular question about replacing axis. maybe a quick hangout

Replacing the axes refers to only having the values of the line labels be the displayed break points on the axes:
