Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I'm frustrated that IPFS Desktop automatically updates to newer versions. I prefer using version 0.38.0 because it allows me to create shareable links using the Path Gateway format, which works well with my custom gateway. In version 0.39.0 and beyond, the default behavior is to use subdomain links, and there is no straightforward way to revert to Path Gateway links, which causes issues with my setup.

Describe the solution you'd like
I would like an option in the settings to disable automatic updates, allowing users to stay on a specific version of IPFS Desktop. This would help maintain compatibility with features that may be changed or deprecated in newer versions, such as the option to use Path Gateway links for shareable links.

Describe alternatives you've considered
An alternative would be to allow users to choose between subdomain and Path Gateway formats for shareable links, regardless of the IPFS Desktop version. If the new version provided an option to select the preferred format for shareable links, it would eliminate the need to disable automatic updates.
