That's a pity. It's a very interesting project, but I lack the technical skills and time to reproduce myself. |
@mash I know that you are not selling IRKits anymore but is it basically possible to order the PCB from jlcpcb.com and let them assemble everything, is there something else needed? I really love the IRKit device that I've own and have it in use for many years now but since the project is basically deprecated it's a little hard if you need another one... |
I do not recomment to go that route. It's almost impossible to get a Gainspan Wi-Fi module, part no. GS1011MEPS and write the firmware with the same version (s2w-2_5_1) into it(I don't think I should redistribute it). Other parts should have equivalents. Maybe try to fork this repo and use a newer and widely used Wi-Fi module, like ESP32 from Espressif. There are Arduino projects out there using ESP32. |
Okay, I've found a few projects but they are actually pretty hard to get over here where I live... I've also found a few Tuya based devices that you can flash so that you can use MQTT to integrate it in your Home Automation or whatever but IRKit was pretty unique and I really liked it with the way how commands are sent/received... Have to dig a little deeper, thank you for your response! |
