RetnoScan V1

About

This is the release of the initial version of RetnoScan, complete with diabetes retinopathy diagnosis functionality.
To use the app, simply take a picture of your eye from the camera, or upload an image from the gallery, and the app will give you a diagnosis!

Note

• The app only makes predictions from the image you provide it. That is why it suggests that you visit your doctor if it classifies the eye image as being retinopathic.
• The app does not preprocess the images, as of now. Therefore, regular images of the eye fed into the app from the camera will not be classified as accurately as preprocessed images. There are sample eye images that have already been preprocessed that can be tested with the app.

App Extensions

• The app classifies images of the fundus (inner lining) of the eye. A 3D magnifying lens could be paired with the app so that when users are taking a picture of their eye, they can capture the fundus and get a more accurate diagnosis from the app.
