quirky file-tree attribute with root-directory restrictions

I have a product attribute of type "file-tree" which is limited to certain extensions and under a certain "root-directory".
I just noticed that this does not work anymore the way it used to (nothing to select)

Can someone please verify?
I did not change anything specific - baybe something in the last update broke it.
If i remove the rootdirectory from the attribute i am able to select anyhing i need but i really dont want to see the other directories.

I just updated and put the root-directories for my attributes back in place: seems to work - therefore closing this.

I'm reopening this - the issue persists.
I figured out it has something to do with the "current" directory the user selected in the filemanager.
It happens only if the attribute-root-directory is not in the trail of the current filemanager-root-node (or filter - i don't know how you would call it when there is a breadcrumb navigation visible in the filemanager)

Could this be a Contao core issue? Does the same happen outside of Isotope?

It might well be a be a Contao core issue but i don't have any fields to verify this.
