images not showing in email

I have the "filter_show_email_images" set to True, but it won't show images in emails.
Although On the Web it shows perfectly fine.

I found that images wont show in gmail if the links from plex email point to an http url and the images are served from an https proxy. I had to change the domain in the config file to https://example.com to get the images to work with the gmail image cache.
