SoulScribe

App to reduce the stigma of mental health by sharing your feelings in a spontaneous and anonymous way.


About

SoulScribe is an application developed by Josh, Amrita, James, and Katie with the aim of reducing people's feelings of isolation and the stigma surrounding mental health. Often, individuals may feel compelled to hide their emotions, leading to increased loneliness and difficulty in seeking support. SoulScribe aims to counteract this by providing a platform where users can anonymously share their feelings with their community.

Features

  • Anonymous Sharing: Users can freely express their emotions without fear of judgment or repercussions, fostering a supportive environment for open expression.
  • Community Statistics: Users can view aggregated statistics about the emotions shared within the community, promoting awareness and understanding of common struggles.
  • Mood-based Podcast Recommendations: The app analyzes users' expressed emotions and suggests relevant podcasts to help them explore and manage their feelings.

Back-end

  • Leveraging Spotify API to provide users with personalized podcast recommendations based on their expressed emotions.
  • Implemented Open AI's API to train and develop LLMs, analyize Journal entires of users and determine their mood base on our scaling metric

Front-End

  • Develop interface using React
  • Designed frameworks of app using Figma
  • Tinkered with Swift to develop IOS APP
