Accounts

The following table lists the default credentials for all accounts associated with the NetSUSLP:

Account Username Password
Web Interface (used to administer the NetSUSLP from a browser) webadmin webadmin
Shell User (used to administer the NetSUSLP from the command line) shelluser shelluser
NetBoot User (used by NetBoot for diskless support) afpuser afpuser1
NetBoot Admin (used to upload NetBoot images) smbuser smbuser1

You can change the usernames and passwords for the web application and shell accounts. You may only change the passwords for the NetBoot accounts. You may also create additional system users for file sharing or shell administration.

Changing the Web Interface Credentials

  1. Log in to the NetSUSLP web application.

  2. In the top-right corner of the page, click Settings .

  3. In the "System" section, click Accounts .

  4. Click the "Web Interface" tab.

  5. Click the username link for the Built-in account.

  6. Change the credentials or password in the modal dialog.

  7. Click Save.

Changing Passwords for System Users

  1. Log in to the NetSUSLP web application.

  2. In the top-right corner of the page, click Settings .

  3. In the "System" section, click Accounts .

  4. Click the "System Users" tab.

  5. Click the username link for the desired account.

  6. Select "Reset Password" from the pop-up menu.

  7. Enter and verify the new password in the modal dialog.

  8. Click Save.

Changing Credentials for System Users

  1. Log in to the NetSUSLP web application.

  2. In the top-right corner of the page, click Settings .

  3. In the "System" section, click Accounts .

  4. Click the "System Users" tab.

  5. Click the username link for the desired account.

  6. Select "Modify User" from the pop-up menu.

  7. Change the user's properties in the modal dialog.

  8. Click Save.

Adding System Users

  1. Log in to the NetSUSLP web application.

  2. In the top-right corner of the page, click Settings .

  3. In the "System" section, click Accounts .

  4. Click the "System Users" tab.

  5. Click the + Add button in the upper-right of the table.

  6. Enter the user information in the modal dialog.

  7. Click Save.
