This document is intended to address only RVA profiles and not other types of profile.
This document provides a general introduction and rationale for RISC-V RVA profiles' structure and terminology. It is based on the original introduction to the first ratified RVA profiles, and further discussion in the profiles' TG specifically regarding the RVA series of profiles.
