Google has stopped supporting the support library and will only be releasing updates to AndroidX. These are mostly the same library, however the artifacts names and package names have all changed.

Details from Google.

I migrated the library to AndroidX just right now. I'll test a little bit more (App and Tests are ok) before make a pull request.

If you are interested. You can help me to test by pulling the commit.
