Brock Pierce remains one of the few entrepreneurs to have etched their name across various disconnected industries, including acting, gaming, venture capital, and cryptocurrency. Pierce’s proxy has been supporting eosDAC as a technically competent BP. He also has explicitly shown his appreciation towards what eosDAC is doing for the EOS ecosystem in his interview with the eosDAC team:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ddfqWFUaTM
> *“One of the greatest BPs in the space, determined by technical competency and all the basic prerequisites being met. They are the key contributors to the community.
... | ||
I view block producers in this sort of liquid democratic system, as being stewards that are contributing to the community, often selflessly, and eosDAC embody that.
... | ||
This team has been around since the beginning and contributing in major ways including launching the network, tirelessly contributing to the EOS ecosystem and they are trying to do it in the best way possible.”*
To express his interest in the eosDAC Community and our technical progress with the DAC Factory he recently did a [keynote presentation](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dsg3zotv1UdFoSWpDC_3cuG9gCeQf7n9/view) at Tulip Conference where he showcased eosDAC member client . He views himself as **“a huge believer in DACs/DAOs”** and believes the future is DAOism.
He registered himself as a Custodian candidate last Tuesday (June 4th), and has since been elected as a custodian by the eosDAC community - eosDAC is honoured to have him onboard!

## About Brock... | ||
Brock Pierce is an entrepreneur and venture capitalist with an extensive track record of founding, advising and investing in disruptive businesses. [He's been credited with pioneering the market for digital currency](https://brockpierce.io/media-archive/) and has raised more than $5B for companies he has founded. Pierce is the Chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation and co-founder of EOS Alliance, Block.one, Blockchain Capital, Tether, and Mastercoin (first ICO).
Blockchain Capital was founded in 2013 and is the first sector-focused venture fund that invests solely in Blockchain technology companies. Pierce led the firm through the first ICO of a venture fund, which created the first security token. Blockchain Capital has made more than 100 investments in the sector across its four funds including Block.one. Block.one was created in 2017 and has sold over $4B tokens in the EOS crowdsale making it the largest ever.
Pierce is an early investor in Bitcoin and one of the largest investors in the Ethereum crowdsale. He is the founder of IMI Exchange, the world’s leading digital currency marketplace for games, with annual sales exceeding $1B and investors such as Goldman Sachs, which was sold in 2016 for more than $100M.

Members of eosDAC are thrilled to have such a successful and influential crypto pioneer with eosDAC in paving the new road for DACs and the future we will be forging together with globally distributed Custodians with unique backgrounds and perspectives. Diverse and active community is the key to success of the DAC and we invite all of the blockchain community, and decentralisation enthusiasts to join and participate in eosDAC today.
> *In the future we will create full alignment of interests, where it's going from that mentality to that abundance mentality, it's where we go from caring only about ourselves to caring about the collective community, and these are the things we're going to get as we build out these new forms of governance, where we've got liquid democracy, where we got immutable records, ultimately we are watching at a systemic upgrading the entire system and it's gonna come from this(DACs). So what eosDAC is doing in moving towards proof of concept where hundreds or thousands of DAOs and DACs will be created in the future, trying to solve the world's biggest challenges has me so excited. Because there are so many things that I am looking to do using this sort of stuff. We don't have the systems yet to be able to roll that out effectively... so thank you eosDAC for what you're doing on this front and doing it for the EOS Community.*

* EOS Guide: Keep your EOS account SAFE using Multisig Structure https://steemit.com/eos/@eosdacvietnam/eos-guide-keep-your-eos-account-safe-using-multisig-structure
* EOS Guide: Create Custom EOS Permissions For Each DApp https://steemit.com/eos/@eosdacvietnam/eos-guide-create-custom-eos-permissions-for-each-dapp
Today, I am gonna show you how to use <b>Waits (TX Delay)</b> to keep your EOS account SAFE.
<h2>What is WAITS?</h2>Specifying waits allows a user to ensure that transaction may not be executed without a required delay.
Look at my testing account first:
![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmNPAph3kJfbhRdERVietF2nm1gJ8H9TuSsGnLXkeaJgdb/image.png)
There is no wait on <code>account4test</code>. I will add waits to <code>active</code> permission.
<h1>Let's start!</h1><h2>I. Add Waits</h2>
<code>Login</code> your EOS account with your <code>Active Key</code> on [bloks.io](https://bloks.io/) => [Wallet](https://bloks.io/wallet) => [Permissions Manager](https://bloks.io/wallet/permissions-manager)
![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbyi7ChBYjLotqZXmCuU7pv84rJh7bv1S1eBZ96wUw6zv/image.png)
Change the info: | ||
![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmX3P23WHfs73ZtAyd8xKzbqTkeNiaN5eHC4T3u8dv3ass/image.png)
* Threshold (always >=2): <code>2</code>
* Keys: | ||
* change the threshold of <code>EOS8gKJKboCpK1XtoM3EajUDLZ6rVubBjN5TifMw6q1sHav3smCrS</code> to <code>2</code> (I change it just for backup or make any transaction immediately when needed. You can keep <code>1</code>)
* Add a new key <code>EOS63MkrMsTUrKwK5LshQnahRCpQPtaq4deLXNQca446Y4GFAQ5r6</code> with threshold <code>1</code>
* Waits (always < threshold): <code>1</code>
Click <code>Save Permission</code>
When completed, check out your account permissions
![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmfCvPAJcWAffia5Tbz7rYYNeM1iu5zVst6RPBJcA3t8TJ/image.png)
<h2>II. Let's test!</h2>In this guide, I am gonna transfer tokens
* <code>Login</code> with the new key <code>EOS63MkrMsTUrKwK5LshQnahRCpQPtaq4deLXNQca446Y4GFAQ5r6</code>
![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmUbKEBz5Luu9H9P48cEubKA3sHRHXXGJQBuxzqvV6Nm6X/image.png)
* To satisfy the new permission: I will schedule the transaction to be delayed by 3 minutes and provide authorization for the key <code>EOS63MkrMsTUrKwK5LshQnahRCpQPtaq4deLXNQca446Y4GFAQ5r6</code>
* Change TX Delay (s) to 180 seconds (3 minutes)
![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbZnancbzJdwW4N6j143aManmmHcdKkTDiXiYNshZz8qz/image.png)
* Go to [Wallet](https://bloks.io/wallet) => Transfer Tokens
![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmRzXVaRxJDvFhUDvLeHAMftWgsXVLjM1SpfJ9ueXsv6aK/image.png)
* Click on <code>Transfer 0.1 EOS to iloveueosdac</code>
![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbW2XiNAG4Gv4xXDMYFWEJt7dHiCGzX4AaSdfScMRsMxU/image.png)
* Then click on TX <code>0e6cb9034de72a45004666944aaa233bed9a8734c6bb3a7a98d9a0baa7ffd425</code>
* You will see | ||
![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmaaNHZc6dMzEUM18M6JMpS5Cba3DMY3oDaxbT9hThsaaq/image.png)
<b>Transaction Not Found</b>: the transaction is only going online after 3 minutes. However, that consumed some RAM (that shows the transaction is about to go online)
![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmTjhxd6WrcFb56nkntSCWk29S46hDPVo6wyjuAkfE9Q8Y/image.png)
* 3 minutes later, you refresh the page and see the transaction online
![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmSAKZrRsJV7tFPVnTgaxZgSi1NjXw1MrrsKkahK2AGegp/image.png)
The transaction is done!
<h2>NOTE:</h2> | ||
* If you use the key with the highest threshold, Waits (TX Delay) is Optional. You can put any TX Delay. No need to be like the Waits on your EOS account.
* If you use the key with lower threshold, Waits (TX Delay) is required and must be the same as the Waits on your EOS account.
