List of builds not updating

It seems when Jenkins build is started by some external means (e.g. repository hook, manually), the list is not updated automatically, even after reloading the page. I must press the "Refresh the list of builds" button to get it updated. And even then, if more than one build passed meanwhile, just the latest is fetched, so the history popup shows e.g. builds 1, 2, 3, 5.
Is this expected behavior?

I have the same issues:

• builds are not updated except for manual clicks on "Refresh the list of builds"
• only latest build is fetched, not all that happened in the meantime
• duration is only updated after second click on "Refresh the list of builds"
