Cloning an existing repository

$ git clone path_to_git_repository [your_name_for_the_repository]

path_tot_git_repository could be following protocols
git://
http(s)://
user@server:path.git:

git status
Current status on untracked, modified, etc files and directories that are relative to current directory

git add <file_name> or git add <directory>

git reset HEAD <file_name> or git reset HEAD <directory>
This will unstage tracked files and directoies

After tracked files are modifed, you can run

git add <file_name...> again to stage the change

or remove the chaneg by running following command

git checkout -- <file_name...>
